I am an Egyptian designer with a passion for innovation, exploring new techniques, and generating new ideas that can have a positive impact on society. Studying product design allowed me to pursue this passion, and although I have worked with various mediums, it is glass that captured my heart. Its unique qualities and endless possibilities allow me to create works of art that transform any space into an elevated experience.
Deeply rooted in my culture and origins, I believe that my work serves as a testament to the beauty of Islamic history in our modern world. Through my art, I aim to bring clarity and focus to my subjects, emphasizing their message, and leaving a lasting impression on those who experience them.
As a designer and craftsman, I am committed to upholding the integrity of my craftsmanship and creating works that are a testament to my skill and passion. Pushing beyond my limits to create pieces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also intellectually engaging is what drives me. My goal is to challenge myself and to create art that makes a difference in people's lives.
The Concept of Glass Fusing
The concept of glass fusing, which is combining small pieces together to create the intended final piece. The design is inspired from the infinity concept where you can’t define the starting point from the ending point; this resembles the unique characteristics of glass, where it has an endless cycle of reusing and creating. In addition, the infinity concept presents the infinite options and possibilities that can be created using the glass fusing technique.
Each lighting unit is an element on its own; however, when combined together they create a bigger set with the freedom of rearranging them in many different combinations while always having them fitting together through the consistency of their designs.
